Some of this is out of Vista and Microsoft's hands. The program vendors will decide to support Vista or now. The other issue I have seen with older software is installing it without sufficient rights. If you are having issues with installing something try running the install program .exe as an administrator. Well I have good news and some bad news. Even new buyers in every shop were saying wait till after october. I needed a new system so i bought one with vista, seeing how i already had xp. Lots of people are buying it with xp and won't take a tower with vista. I did try to install my corel wp and it would not take it. Also would not take the program for my new digital camera. I liked the look of it, it seems exciting. But reality is that I need my programs so that I can use it for more than internet. Honestly I can't wait to reformat and load it on. One techie said I could put both on but I'm not sure how that will affect the performance. Thanks guys, if you know anything about it taking programs a clue would be good.
